All of Sicily is in mourning today over the death of a 38-year-old police officer, Filippo Raciti, who died late Friday in the violence that followed a soccer match at Catania against Palermo in Sicily. Over thirty hooligans have been arrested thus far. Police found bombs, drugs and arms in the stadium. Raciti is thought to have died from a blunt blow to his body.
This is not the first soccer stadium incident to have happened in Italy. Most think the criminals are not even soccer fans. Soccer has been put on hold for the whole country while this crime and security for all stadiums is being investigated.
